So last evening after a weekend with camera in car and film
loaded in which it was too bright and cloudless to bother, I
took a single black-eyed-susan up to the studio to see if I
could fill an interesting frame with it.  The following were
done in a period of about 30 minutes using the ancient
Kodak 10a studio camera.  I pulled the bellows out to 40
inches and focused with the different lens focals by
rolling the camera forward or backwards.

I think the results are astounding.  A fun comparison
of what these 5 old lenses can do and how the looks
differ from each other.  Yes there are obvious
similarities but each picture was different.  Each shot
was done with the lens WIDE OPEN.

The lenses in order are:  Wollensak Verito 11 1/2" f4
Cooke Aviar 14" f5.6  Gundlach Hyperion 12" f4
Dallmeyer Patent Petzval 3B 11" f3  and
Darlot lantern Petzval of about 10" f5
