I had a couple of new-2-me lenses to try out, so I took
my willing muse, the black '38 Ford coupe, and headed
about 5 blocks from my house to an old Associated gas

The Pinkham was first up, and I got one dazzling image
with it.  The last taken of course.  Vision gets better as
you work.

I stopped at 5 since that's what the JOBO holds.  Silly
reason, but that's what I do.  I'd only taken 6 sheets with
me.  Then a young couple asked to be photographed
and I only had a single sheet left.

8X10 Bausch & Lomb Tessar #1 f4.5

The Bausch & Lomb Tessar is unusual in that someone
long long ago had it mounted into a size 2 Studio Shutter.

I'm a history lover and couldn't resist it.  Several ordinary
ones have come and gone in barrel from my clutches, but
the studio shutter might be fun.  It's a fine capable antique
lens that has the smooth almost soft look of lenses of that
era.  I did a comparison wide open and at f22½.
